  • Change isn't always good .. But it does help us grow =D

Okay, so after almost 3 months of working at Aldi's this old dog could NOT learn to scan 36 items per minute (without smashing your bread and yogurt ) and so I gave up on trying to and just enjoyed the heck out of my customers which goes against the company's way of saving the customer money.  So as of yesterday I resigned my employment with them - which makes me sad as I will really miss being able to chat with all the customers - God I really enjoy that - on the other hand I'm going back to work with my sister Sally and I'm going to LOVE that because I have "MISSED" our Sister's time since I've been working at Aldi's.  Everything in life is a trade off.

The following is from an email my Mother Inlaw sent me - It is the perfect thought - hope you enjoy it.

                    Christ Carries us through

    THE POEM
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
    That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
    I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
    For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
    "Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
    But never found the time"

So.....what is it that you don't have time for - think about it before it is too late!!!  I miss all of you kids soooo much. Stay safe, be happy, enjoy the journey and know I think of you all daily and ask God to help guide your steps! You kids are AWESOME.

P.S. Ashley, I didn't realize your were going to be traveling - if you ever decide you want to come visit again - just show up, don't be polite - just be prepared for the house to be a WRECK

  • I'm Workin' At Aldi's

OK, so I suppose it IS time to update, sorry.   I've got a job workin' at Aldi's and I LOVE it.  It is great fun.  When I'm not busy with that, I also pulled David out of Massena Central for the rest of this year, he was being aggraivated daily by 3 kids which is what was building all his hostility. Since he's been out of school, he's back to being the sweet kid I remembered.

This home schooling thing is kicking my butt, so to all your Mom's that did this for you kids, my Hat is off to them - it is ALOT harder than I would ever have guessed. I'm sending Dave back to Public school in Sept.  Hopefully this will be a long enough break from the group that was harrassing him that they will have moved on to other things.  So all of you that were homeschooled or still are - remember to Thank your Mom's and do something nice for her. .

Ashley and Alicia, thank you girls SO MUCH for coming over to visit while Alicia was home, I enjoyed it SOOOOO much.  Being the only female in a house full of guys - wears ya down after while - all that testostarone - it was so nice to hear other woman's points of view and sense of humor again -you girls rock!!!  Michelle, I wish you had come with them - you live just down the road and I haven't seen ya in forever.

OK, so now I'm caught up on here - and although I haven't been on in ages - you kids are always in my thoughts and prayers.  Jerry, I carry your coin in my back pocket "ALWAYS" 'cause you're my favorite "pain in the butt"  I miss you boy, stay safe. Tom and Luann - hope all is going well for you two while ya's are so far from home and to any of the rest of you out there and traveling - Stay safe and know that you are all being prayed for. I miss you kids!!

P.S.  Andie it was great seeing you in the store the other day  Take care.

  • To Make your Christmas Shopping More Fun....

Subject: Fun at Walmart This might improve the shopping experience.

    Subject: Fun at Walmart
No, I don't know Bill Fenton...but I wish I did. He is having more fun
    than me.

Mr. and Mrs. Fenton are retired. Mrs. Fenton insists that he go with
her to Walmart. He gets bored with all the shopping. He prefers to get
in and get out, but Mrs. Fenton loves to browse.

Here's a letter sent to her from the store.

    Dear Mrs. Fenton:

Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a
commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may ban
both of you from the store. We have documented all incidents on our
video surveillance equipment. All complaints against Mr. Fenton are
    listed below.

Things Mr. Bill Fenton has done while his spouse was shopping in Walmart:

    1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's
    carts when they weren't looking.

    2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute
    intervals.

    3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the
    restrooms.

    4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone,
'Code 3' in housewares.. . and watched what happened.

    5. Aug 4: Went to the Service Desk and asked to put a bag of M&M's on
    layaway.

6 Sept 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

    7. Sept 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other
shoppers he'd invite them in if they'll bring pillows from the bedding
    department.

    8. Sept 23: When a clerk asks if they can help him , he begins to cry
and asks, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'

    9. Oct 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror,
    and picked his nose.

    10. Nov 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, asked the
clerk if he knows where to find the antidepressants.

    11. Dec 3: Darted around the store suspiciously loudly humming the
    "Mission Impossible" theme.

    12. Dec 6: In the auto department, practiced his "Madonna look" using
    different size funnels.

    13. Dec 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browse through,
    yelled "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"

    14. Dec 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumes
the fetal position and screams "NO! NO! It's those voices again!!!!"

    And last, but not least

    15. Dec 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door waited awhile, then
yelled very loudly, "There is no toilet paper in here !!

    Thank you,
